Nick is a Registered Social Worker with over 7 years of experience working with adults of varying age in the hospital and community settings. Nick has provided support for individuals experiencing anxiety & depression, grief/loss and addictions. Nick utilizes a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach when engaging with clients he supports and uses mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches, as well as Brainspotting and IFS (Internal Family Systems).
Nick loves humanity and has a sincere passion for supporting all individuals as they journey through this complex and (often times) confusing thing we call life. Nick describes himself as someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously and prides themselves on his humility. In his words, "I am the author of my own life and you are the author of yours and I allow this thought to inform my approach to therapy. I believe supporting someone means to 'meet them where they are at', without judgement and without an agenda". Nick is eager to support both individuals, and couples, ages 16 years and up.
Nick and his wife are avid animal lovers and share a home with their English Bulldog and British Short Hair cat. When they're not hanging out with the pets, you can usually find them watching a movie or working on their cooking skills and making an elaborate meal. Please feel free to reach out and explore if Nick might be the right fit in your journey.
